GrayWolf Sensing Solutions of Shelton, CT, USA introduces a new, portable, 6 channel Particulate Meter which optionally incorporates sensors for additional parameters such as Total Volatile Organic Compounds (TVOCs), Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Temperature and Relative Humidity. This highly innovative monitor, a significantly enhanced version of our PC-4000 introduced last year, measures particle counts and also displays and logs calculated particle mass concentrations while optionally displaying and logging the aforementioned environmental conditions.

A high accuracy photo-ionization detector (PID) for TVOC measurement and a rapid response NDIR CO2 sensor, both optimally suitable for IAQ applications, are offered. The PC-4005 may alternatively be connected to GrayWolf’s AdvancedSense®, DirectSense® or WolfPack® instruments to add additional parameters (e.g. formaldehyde, ozone, carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide, ammonia and more) logging into the same data file as other connected sensors. This also allows the user to take full advantage of the broad range of features offered by GrayWolf such as on-board educational info including help videos, IAQ particle size charts, government/industry particulate guidelines and more. In addition, efficient, reliable survey documentation via photo, video, audio and text notes (all attached to data files), may be enabled.

The PC-4005 Particle/Mass Monitor Plus can be temporarily placed to monitor an environment for short-term testing. It can also be set up for continuous, long-term data-recording. It measures particles sized from 0.3 ?m to 25 ?m with a flow rate of 2.83 LPM (0.1 CFM). Display 6 size ranges simultaneously (0.3?m, 0.5?m, 1.0?m, 2.5?m, 5?m, 10.0?m are standard). PM2.5, PM10 and TSP may also be concurrently displayed and logged. As a “stand-alone” instrument, it can be used as a portable monitor, or integrated into a building automation system via standard RS 232 or optional Wireless 802.11 b/g. In addition to the PC-4005 sensor readings, access flow and sensor status, date of last calibration, serial number, laser-on time and date of manufacture for easy maintenance and warranty management.

The PC-4005 is supplied with GrayWolf’s exclusive WolfSense® PC Data Transfer and Reporting software. Optionally use GrayWolf’s WolfSense Advanced Report Generator™ software to produce automated reports that include tables, graphs, prompted and template text, calibration info, equipment lists and much more in a logical structure established by the user. Optional, pre-established IAQ structured reports are also available. Detailed report generation has never been more efficient.

The PC-4005 is supported worldwide through GrayWolf’s extensive network of distributors, and GrayWolf’s USA and Ireland service centers. An industry leader since 1998, GrayWolf’s environmental instrumentation is employed by industry professionals in manufacturing plants, high rise buildings, hospitals, airports, schools, universities, casinos, refineries, on board ships and many other types of facilities. Worldwide management, sales and customer support is headquartered in Shelton, CT (USA).
